The new policy requires that the Registrant of .ORG.TW domain names shall be a non-profit organization legally registered under the laws of Taiwan. The only exception is for foreign non-profit organizations that provide supporting documentation of their non-profit status under the competent laws of their jurisdiction and if the Domain Name Committee of TWNIC approves such documentation.

Registrants seeking to CREATE, RENEW or TRANSFER their .ORG.TW domain names need to provide the following documentation:
• Supporting Documentation of the legal status of the Registrant. This has to be a non-profit organization.
• A written application with the description of the type of transaction. (new, renew, transfer)
• The length of the renewal with a maximum of 10 years. Please note that if the domain is only renewed for 1 year, the Registrant will need to re-submit a similar application next year in order to renew for additional years.
• A description of how the applicant will use the .ORG.TW domain name.
.ORG.TW Domain names expiring between February, 2 and April 5, 2012

.ORG.TW domain names that expire prior to April 5, 2012 will be allowed to renew. Non-profit Registrants that want to keep their .ORG.TW domain name need to submit the application and supporting documentation to TWNIC by March 30, 2012 in order to qualify for the evaluation by the TWNIC Domain Committee.

Registrants that fail to submit the necessary documentation or if the Domain Committee does not approve the submitted application will have their .ORG.TW domain names placed ON HOLD on April 6, 2012 and deleted 30-days later. The renewal fee charged by TWNIC will be refunded to the Registrar.

.ORG.TW Domain names expiring after April 5, 2012
.ORG.TW domain names that expire after April 5, 2012 will be placed on LOCK by TWNIC and will not be allowed to RENEW.
Registrants wishing to renew these .ORG.TW domain names must submit the renewal Application along with the supporting documentation that demonstrates their non-profit status. Only upon approval by the Domain Committee will the domain be allowed to renew.

NOTE: It may take longer than 30-days for the TWNIC Domain Committee to evaluate each application. It is highly recommended that Applicants submit their paperwork ahead of time in order to prevent service interruption or deletion of the domain name.
Registrars that have affected .ORG.TW renewals will receive a separate email with a complete list of their .ORG.TW domain names.
