The .name registry will open the second level registrations on January 14, 2004 11:30AM EST. At that time it will become possible to register your www.domain.name in real-time on a first-come, first-served basis.

Additional services are offered by the .name Registry: .name email forwarding service (firstname@lastname.name), 3rd level registrations (firstname.lastname.name) and a so-called defensive registration enabling registrants to protect their names.
